南城村属福建省三明市宁化县方田乡，为该乡的行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村中有城堡，村民称之为南城堡，简称南城。村庄始建于宋代，明清时属龙上上里。[1]

建置变迁较多。1930年苏区时期于此设南城堡苏维埃政府，1934年归方田乡管辖，称南城保。1949年初属南田乡，1951年归治平七区设南城乡，1952年改归方田八区，1956年归禾口区。1958年10月起属方田公社，改称南城大队；1964年曾由曹坊工委管辖的南城公社并入方田公社，仍为南城大队；1984年设南城村民委员会。[1][2]
