下洋村位于水茜镇境内，是镇下辖的行政村。[1]

村名的含义：「下」指地势低下，「洋」指地面开阔平坦。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期属招贤里。1952年水茜设第九区后，此地改设乡。1958年划入水茜公社，成为下洋大队；驻地在1963年回到下洋，1979年迁往合寮岗。1984年起称下洋村民委员会，2015年底起属水茜镇。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，下洋村获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号；同年7月，又获2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）的称号。[1]
