青平村位于淮土镇境内，村民最初在长满青草的坪地上聚居，坪与平同音，村名由此而来。[1]

2021年11月，村子获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明朝初年有人在此建村，清代属龙上上里，民国时为凤山乡的青平保，土地革命时期属革命老区。[1]

建国后归禾口二区的吴陂乡，名为青平村。1962年划入淮土公社，设青平大队；1966年称胜利大队，1974年恢复青平大队。1984年改设淮土乡青平村民委员会。[1]
