下埠村是湖村镇下辖的行政村。2022年12月，下埠村获福建省绿化委员会命名为2022年福建省森林村庄。[1]

2024年1月，下埠村获评2023年福建省卫生村。[1]

在2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）名单中，下埠村于2024年7月公布入列。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作进贤坊，后改称下埠，据博雅地名网，「埠」与「俯」谐音，取安分守己之意。[1]

宋代中叶已有江、杨、高等姓在此开基，宋朝时属登龙乡，明清时属泉下里下埠村，民国时为店上乡下埠保。1950年属第四区下埠乡，1958年属店上公社，1964年改属湖村公社。1966年一度改称红武大队，1974年恢复原名，1984年设村民委员会。[1]
