高坑村位于嵩口镇北部，是镇的北大门，距嵩口镇区4.5公里，距清流县城13公里。全村分为5个自然小组。[1]

村名的来历是此地位于高山深坑的交汇口。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带古属仓盈里，宋代属折桂乡仓盈团，民国时并入复兴乡嵩口保。1951年起一度属一区嵩口乡，此后经卫星公社、嵩口公社的建制，于1974年自嵩口大队分出，单设高坑大队。[1]

1984年改称高坑村，并设立村民委员会。[1]

2024年7月，村获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号。[1]

村民的收入来源有果树种植、烤烟、养殖与运输，也有人外出务工或经商。[1]
