历史沿革[edit]

下洋村在1984年由大队改制为村，名称改为南霞乡下洋村。追溯此前的沿革：明清两代归八都，民国时属南霞乡的下洋保，建国初年划入二区泮岭乡，1951年7月改为九区下洋乡，1955年转归镇头区，1958年并入南坑仔乡，同年十月设生产大队。[2]

2024年1月，下洋村获「2023年福建省卫生村」的命名。[2]
