上坪村属高砂镇的山区村，距集镇约10千米，海拔200至660米。境内有六个自然村：上坪、大竹、大坪、下坑、西山与大元。[1][2]

村名原作上坑，与高桥的上坑同名。后取自然村上坑与大坪各一字，合成上坪。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明朝归五都。解放前称高砂乡坑坪保，之后归高砂区上坑乡。[3]

1958年建上坑大队，1981年改称上坪大队，1984年设上坪村村委会，至今隶属高砂镇。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村内耕地2283亩，林地21692亩，全村土地合计26259亩。[1]

据2025年4月的村情简介，本村447户、1820人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，上坪村入选「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[2]
