涌溪村位于青州镇西南部，在沙溪河北岸。村名取自天湖山流下的涌水与沙溪。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地明代归三都；建国前是青溪乡的涌溪保。解放后，涌溪先为高砂区的一个镇，1953年改设为乡。1958年起，本村列入万能公社的涌溪大队，次年公社改名高砂。1961年转入青州公社辖区，1963年又回到高砂公社，1972年重新隶属青州公社，1984年改设涌溪村村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

1940年撤区立乡，此时的青溪乡公所就设在本村。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

中共沙县下南区委遗址在村内。1947年冬，延古欧中心县委书记杨良言为躲避国民党追捕，暂住在涌溪小学，次年1月离开。临行前他嘱托地下党员张子谦，待组织发展到一定规模即可建立区委或县委。1948年2月，中共沙县下南区委成立，张子谦任书记。区委成立后发展党员，策划竞选乡长成功，并组织了青溪起义。[4]

游击队交通站遗址在马铺自然村。南沙尤工委成立后，副书记林志群到沙县农村选择交通站地点，选定马铺，并联系培养当地农民乐家沐担任交通站负责人。此后，情报传递、交通员食宿和游击队物资采购都有了着落。遗址原为乐家沐的旧居，建于民国初年。博雅地名网载，1986年沙溪口电站建设时，遗址位于淹没区而被拆除；沙县区人民政府网则将「涌溪乐家沐宅（马铺交通站旧址）」列为省级一般不可移动文物。[4][1]

村内另有区级一般不可移动文物「涌溪石旗杆」。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，村被省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[2]
