金石村位于福建省莆田市仙游县游洋镇东南部，地处莆、仙、永三县交界处，东面与天马村相接，西面邻梧椿村，南面与河星村、兴山村相邻。[1] 村名来自境内一块巨石上刻着的八个大字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子早年称渭溪保，中华人民共和国成立前归古邑乡管辖。解放初这一带先后划归第6区和第10区，1956年改属麦斜区，1958年并入游洋公社。[1]

1984年设村民委员会，隶属游洋乡；1992年游洋乡改制为镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村内有一处天然山石，俗称和尚帽。[1] 耕地1086亩，山地则有13560亩。[1]

人口[edit]

博雅地名网载全村总人口3010人、653户，分渭坑、南溪两大片，辖7个自然村、15个村民小组，未注明统计年份。[1]

经济[edit]

村里盛产水稻，另有枇杷、柑橘、板栗。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年11月，金石村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]

2021年3月，金石村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]

省农业农村厅于2022年10月作出认定，金石村列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2023年2月，金石村入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

2024年1月，金石村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
