龙华镇位于福建省莆田市仙游县西南部，地处木兰溪南岸，三郊公路与仙泉公路穿境而过。[1][2]全镇辖灯塔社区和15个行政村。[1]镇名取自流经境内的龙华溪与当地的龙华寺。[1]境内的龙华双塔为宋代石构古塔，2013年经国务院公布为全国重点文物保护单位；金沙村出产的金沙薏米，明代已被列为贡品。[3][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，龙华一带隶属嘉禾里；明清两代归仁德里与孝仁里管辖；民国时期划为仁德乡。新中国成立后，此地先后由仙游县第六区与第十一区管理。1958年9月组建龙华公社，1984年先设为乡，1991年11月再改设为镇。[1]

地名由来[edit]

全境有龙华溪穿过。唐代垂拱二年（686年）当地建起一座较大的寺院，大中二年（848年）由唐宣宗赐名。俗称“龙花”，因“花”与“华”方言读音相近，后来统一写作龙华。[1]

文化遗存[edit]

龙华双塔立于龙华寺前东西两侧，八角五层，为空心石构楼阁式建筑，高44.8米。北宋大观年间，当地人郭勇为母亲祈寿，先后两次出资修建。[3]福建省政府于2001年将其列为省级文物保护单位，国务院2013年3月公布其为全国重点文物保护单位。[3][4]

建华王回祠位于建华村下王尾厝，属仙游县第六批县级文物保护单位；灯塔一带的吴店自然村有蔡襄祠，列为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[1]

革命旧址[edit]

境内留存数处革命旧址。袭击晋仙警察所战斗旧址位于红星村磨头街；坝头联络站旧址在红旗村坝头自然村，与1943年前后闽中地区的斗争有关；仙德游击大队驻地旧址罗汉岩在金沙村石宝自然村，与1949年4月的一次行动相连。[1]

物产[edit]

金沙村的薏米种植可上溯至宋代，明代进入朝廷贡品之列。该产品已取得国家地理标志证明商标与农产品地理标志认证；截至2024年，标准化种植基地达1.8万亩。[5]

荣誉[edit]

2014年9月，环境保护部把龙华镇列为「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」。2022年10月，龙华镇经福建省农业农村厅审定，入选「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，龙华镇获评「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[1]
