下楼村位于仙游县城东面约三公里处，辖十一个自然村，以肖、林两姓为主。村域内有木兰溪上的金凤桥，为县级文物。[1][2][3]

地名来自明正德年间两兄弟在木兰溪上游、下游各搭草棚楼打鱼歇息的故事，分称上楼与下楼。2002年9月起隶属鲤南镇。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

相传明正德年间，此地有兄弟二人以捕鱼为业，哥哥在木兰溪上游、弟弟在下游各搭草棚楼供休息，故有上楼、下楼之名。[1]

民国年间归榜头的兰溪乡管辖；建国初期隶属五区。1956年并入城关一区的人民公社，两年后改为城东人民公社的一部分。下楼村委会于1985年设立，鲤南镇自2002年9月起管辖此村。[1]

人口与姓氏[edit]

博雅地名网载，全村共806户、3085人，未注年份。村民以肖、林两姓为主，约占46%；陈、张两姓约占25%。[2]

金凤桥[edit]

金凤桥位于牛头山旁的木兰溪上，清雍正八年（1730年）以青石构筑，前身为宋代嘉定年间始建的安利桥，屡毁屡修。明代郑纪、柯潜、陈经邦都曾为此桥撰写桥记。[2]

金凤桥是县内首批县级文物，列在第一批名单中，1980年定为县级文物保护单位。1993年，在古桥上游约五十米处另建金凤大桥。[1][2]
