潭边社区位于度尾镇南部，东邻东峰村，西接帽山村，北连度峰社区，南与大济镇溪口村相邻，距镇政府约两公里。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区内的龙井宫建于清初，宫中供奉湄洲岛妈祖神像，是县级文物保护单位。宫内所悬匾额「神昭海表」据传出自乾隆皇帝手笔，两旁对联则为清代御史江春霖所书。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2004年，社区被评为仙游县第十一届文明村。[1]
