九社村隶属福建省莆田市仙游县枫亭镇，位于镇政府约1公里处，在枫慈溪南岸，枫园公路穿村而过，村委会设在岭口。[1]

村名的来历：清代，村中有九个聚落，后来境内建有九座公社庙宇，于是得名九社。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，此地属枫亭镇辖。1950年改属第三区，1956年归枫亭区，1958年划入枫亭公社。1984年起归枫亭镇，设九社村委会。[2]
