秀峰村隶属福建省莆田市仙游县枫亭镇，位于镇南约2.5公里处，东接泉州泉港区的鸠林村，西至耕丰村。[1][4]

村名取义于地处丘陵、山峰秀丽。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋初此地叫侯榄，末年改作后览；民国时期（1928年）又写作后榄。1944年，此地归入斗南保。[1]

中华人民共和国成立后，此地属第三区，称斗南乡；1958年改称斗南大队。1961年12月，后榄与五里两个自然村析出，另设秀峰大队；1984年底，划归枫亭镇政府，改名秀峰村。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

截至2008年，户籍人口3712人。[4]

文化[edit]

据百度百科，村域历史可追溯到五代，宋初南康郡王陈洪进家族曾居于此。[4]

陈洪进捐资围垦南北庄农田5000亩；村中有宋代陈郡王祠，即德星祠，蔡襄曾为之题匾。[5][4]
