龙泉社区在县城西北方，木兰溪在它南边，大蜚山则在北侧。[1]

此地原为王、雷、苏等十数姓杂居的小村，数姓共用一座宫，名“龙泉”。居民为地名争论不休，最终以宫名定为社区之名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清光绪十年（1884年）此地称龙泉保；1949年8月25日，仙游获得解放，随即改称龙泉村；2002年10月，因城乡合并，它成为龙泉社区。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

龙泉林义墓位于昭德公山，为「仙游县第四批县级文物保护单位」；龙泉九战尾抗倭遗址位于九战尾山，为「仙游县第一批县级文物保护单位」。[2]

社区内的客山公园占地52公顷，园中有龙仙亭和仿古走廊。[3]

文化[edit]

2007年3月，龙泉社区被评为「省级园林村庄」。[3]
