城内社区位于鲤城街道中心地段，土地面积1.9平方公里。因解放前为县署所在地，处于城里而得名。[1][6]

历史沿革[edit]

唐朝初期，此地隶属清源镇。宋至清代称东街，属嘉禾乡功建里。民国时期归中山镇，辖寿观、崇文两个保。[2]

1949年，这两个保改称寿观街与崇文街；1952年7月又易名为生建街居委会。1955年10月，它改成东河街居委会，并与东门并为一体。[2]

1961年12月重新设立生建街；1968年10月，此地的名称变为东风街革命领导小组所在；1983年1月定名城内街，此后即城内社区居委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

仙游文庙坐落于城内社区的师范路上，原名“清源县学”，也称“功建庙学”。北宋咸平五年（1002年），县尉段全将其迁到现址。现存戟门、两庑、大成殿等古建筑，2013年3月经国务院公布为「第七批全国重点文物保护单位」。[3][4][5]

中共仙游县委旧址在三宫巷，原为陈家大厝，属五进式的复合型建筑。1927年12月，县委于县立中学旁边的陈家大院宣告建立。[3]

万寿观位于仙游一中校内，宋建炎年间由傅歉授创建，明洪武年间重建，现为仙游一中校史展览馆。[3]

城内何俨祠堂位于北门巷，为纪念先祖何俨，明永乐年间由后人建祠堂，现存建筑为清中期重修。[3]
