溪边村位于平海镇政府驻地北侧。2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，它先后三次列入淘宝村名单；2021年12月，被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

溪边在民国初年属平海区，1918年为七区溪边乡，1932年属平海乡溪边保。解放后归埭头区的溪边乡，1955年仍为溪边乡，1957年改属东湖乡，1966年改为平海公社溪边大队。1984年12月设平海乡溪边村委会，1994年改为平海镇溪边村委会。[2]
