石城村是埭头镇下辖的行政村，位于埭头半岛东部的沿海突出部，扼守兴化湾的入海口，是莆田东北部的一个半岛渔村，也是莆田的侨乡之一。村民以劳务输出、鲍鱼养殖和海洋运输为主要收入。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历有一个传说：相传元代有一位地理先生，名叫奴哥，从莆田城内来到此处，见此地面海背山，地形如城廓，又多石头山，于是取名石城。[2]

1958年至1960年，村属埭头公社邱山管理区，设石城大队；1961年至1964年，改属埭头区邱山公社；1965年至1984年，隶属莆田县埭头公社；1985年至1986年，为莆田县埭头乡下的石城村。[4]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积，百度百科作279.32公顷，博雅地名网则作陆域面积3.5平方公里，两说并列。村下辖的自然村数目，博雅地名网作11个，百度百科作9个；村民小组有21个。[1][2][3]

村落隔海可望南日、乌丘与台湾诸岛，所在之处正是兴化湾、平海湾与南日水道的会合之地。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村民的主要收入来自海员的对外输出、水产养殖和海洋运输。村里建有鲍鱼养殖基地约1000亩，另有紫菜、红毛菜等水产养殖区。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

石城林氏民居位于寨外自然村，建于清末，民国时重修，是爱国华侨林和义的旧居，坐西朝东，为「莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位」。[2]

合一宗祠也在寨外，为二进合院式的宗祠，石木结构，悬山顶。中轴线上依次为院门、天井、前殿、天井与大殿。[2]

荣誉[edit]

村庄获评全国乡村治理示范村与全国文明村镇。[1]

2025年6月，村内以鲍鱼养殖入选莆田市“一村一品”专业村的名录；同年11月，村又以鲍鱼产业进入福建省级“一村一品”专业村的2025年度名单。[2]
