名胜古迹[edit]
东云寺位于本村，建于明嘉靖二十五年（1546年），清光绪三十三年（1907年）重修，类别属古建筑，现为莆田市级文物保护单位。[1][3]
文化[edit]
2021年3月，魏厝村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期这里称魏厝乡。1957年为东峤乡魏厝村，1958年归笏石公社魏厝大队，1961年改隶前沁公社同名大队，1965年并入东峤公社，1984年仍为东峤乡魏厝村。1992年划入东峤镇辖区，2002年归秀屿区东峤镇。[1]
