珠坑村属福建省莆田市秀屿区笏石街道。关于村名的由来，博雅地名网记有一段传说。[1]
名称由来[edit]
据博雅地名网所载传说，明朝天启年间有一位状元朱继祥经过此地，见地形如龙戏珠，便脱口说出「好一个珠坑」，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年隶属第5区本店保，1950年为第5区本店乡，1952年改归笏石区本店乡，1954年至1955年属第10区珠坑乡。[1]
1957年组成笏石乡的珠坑高级社，1958年划入笏石公社，1984年改为笏石镇珠坑村委会。[1]
荣誉称号[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会在2022年12月命名珠坑村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
2022年10月，珠坑村被认定为「2022年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
