北埔村属福建省莆田市秀屿区笏石街道。据博雅地名网，村名与其在笏石镇北侧、地势平坦的位置有关。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1945年（民国34年）隶属北埔保。1950年改归第5区，名为北埔乡；1952年起改属笏石区北埔乡，1954年又转入第16区的北埔乡。[1]
1957年并入笏石乡的北埔高级社，1958年归笏石公社的笏石大队，1961年以北埔大队为名独立，1984年称笏石镇北埔村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内土埕自然村有笏石破仓分粮斗争旧址，是1935年前后中共莆田中心县委领导农村工作时留下的一处革命旧址。[1]
荣誉称号[edit]
福建省爱卫办在2021年11月把「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号授予北埔村。[1]
