东郊村是新度镇下辖的行政村，地处壶公山脚下、木兰溪下游，距镇中心约5千米，辖6个自然村。[1]

地名[edit]

境内原有一条东流的坑沟，村名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）已有村民定居于此。新中国成立后经东郊乡、大坂高级社等变迁，1961年设渠桥公社。1984年改称东郊村，隶属渠桥乡；1992年划入新度镇，2002年归荔城区。[1][3]

经济[edit]

村里以水果和蔬菜为主要产业，是镇内重要的水果基地之一。[1]

东郊村于2022年10月入选「淘宝村」名单，2023年11月又被认定为莆田市中级版「绿盈乡村」（2023年度）。[1]
