江东村位于福建省莆田市荔城区黄石镇东北方向约3公里处，靠近木兰溪下游的入海口，村内有纪念唐代梅妃的浦口宫。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于三江口内海港道的东侧，村名由此而来。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地归感德乡管辖；明清时期划入三区连江里。民国年间分作江东乡、东华乡与江东保等几部分，新中国成立后并入黄石区的江东乡。[4]

1958年，这里成为清江公社下的江东大队，随后又改属黄石公社。1984年起称莆田县黄石镇江东村，2002年归荔城区，村委会也随之设于本村。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

浦口宫位于江东村，为纪念唐代梅妃江采苹而建，始创于唐至德元年（756年），唐肃宗曾赐“春秋二祭”而立宫。宫殿历经宋、明、清各代重修扩建，占地1500平方米，建筑面积999平方米，现存门楼刻有“皇图巩固，帝道遐昌”八字。[5]

村边宁海桥附近的海边有一块巨石，上刻“梅妃故里”四个大字。[6]
