金山村位于福建省莆田市荔城区黄石镇的木兰溪下游、兴化湾畔的南洋平原上。村内有金山交通站旧址，史学家朱维干即出生于此。[1][2][4]

地名由来[edit]

早先此处是兴化湾中的一座小岛，周围都是水，原名大孤屿。因岛形似龟，又称大龟屿。岛上一座小山的土色偏金，村民沿山脚聚居，遂得名金山。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元明三代属连江里，清沿明制，仍属三区连江里。民国时期先后属黄石区、二区的金山乡。[4]

新中国成立后这里为金山乡，1956年并入黄石镇。1957年，此地设金山农业生产大队；1958年，它改属黄石公社，称金山大队。1984年改为金山村，2002年以后归荔城区黄石镇，设金山村委会。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

金山交通站旧址位于海头自然村。1926年2月起，陈国柱在莆田创建党团混合支部，常以金山村朱维干家祖屋为据点开展活动，发展党员。朱维干与陈国柱交往密切，这些革命者以此屋为交通站，发展革命队伍。[5]

著名人物[edit]

朱维干（1893—1991），号铁苍，字柏青，出生于黄石镇大龟屿（今金山村）。他曾任福建师范大学历史系教授，是福建地方史研究的奠基者之一。[6]
