黄石社区位于福建省莆田市荔城区黄石镇的中心地带，黄石镇人民政府即设在本社区。社区原为黄石大队，1980年代以后改称社区，如今隶属荔城区黄石镇。[1][2]

社区一带是镇里政治、交通与商贸的中心，境内有袭击黄石镇第三区署战斗遗址等革命历史遗迹。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

社区所在地在解放前已是黄石镇的范围。1958年这里设为黄石大队，到1980年代以后才改为社区。进入2002年，随着行政区划调整，社区归荔城区黄石镇管辖，并成立了居民委员会。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

袭击黄石镇第三区署战斗遗址位于玉塘街，与1936年前后闽中游击队的活动有关。[3]

荣誉[edit]

社区曾获「莆田市第十一届文明村镇」称号，评定年度为2007年至2009年。[2]
