岐山村隶属涵江区庄边镇。村子旧称奇山，据传北宋时有三位状元游览此山，见山中五处奇景，称为奇山，后改名岐山。[1]

村内顶隔自然村的开福寺联络站旧址，是1931年以来闽中游击队的秘密联络站。村中的开福寺始建于唐代，明代有过重建。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时此地属兴化县，明代改隶莆田县广业里。民国时它叫岐西保，属莆田县第四区。1950年起归14区岐西乡，1952年改隶13区；1957年底设岐西高级社，1958年成为生产大队，1968年由革命领导小组接管。1984年成立村委会，2002年转入涵江区。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

开福寺联络站旧址位于顶隔自然村。寺院处在莆田、仙游、永泰三地交界处，往来方便，因此在1931年以后成为闽中红军游击队秘密活动的场所，也是重要的联络站。当时有党员向寺中住持宣讲政策，争取其支持，地下党员借寺院发动农民组建农会，开展抗捐、抗税、抗租的斗争。寺内今存石牌、古钟等文物。[3]

开福寺始建于唐代，明代有过重建，清代重修，现存建筑为土木结构，悬山顶。[1]
