石西村沿324国道伸展，距涵江区政府约5公里。西与国欢镇洞庭村为邻，南与三江口镇后郭村相接，东北距福清市新厝镇约5公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

早先称石庭村，分拆为两村之后，西边一村叫石西。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村面积约2.5平方公里，辖13个自然村、18个村民小组。324国道由村中穿过，福厦高速的涵江出口也设在近处，荔涵大道同样经过此地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期属七区石西乡；1956年归梧塘区石庭乡；1958年并入涵江公社的石庭管理区，成为石西大队；1965年转属江口公社石西大队。1984年改设江口镇石西村委会；2002年6月起归涵江区江口镇石西村委会。[2]

2022年12月，村子获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
