历史沿革[edit]
民国时期，此地的名称写作「華亭」。1949年推行汉字简化，「华亭」二字便随之通用。[1]
1958年划入华亭公社，编为华亭大队；1984年12月，改设华亭乡华亭社区居委会，次年3月改为华亭镇华亭居委会。1990年，去掉「镇」字，改称华亭居委会；2000年再改为华亭社区居民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
华亭社区获「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」称号，时间为2021年3月；2024年1月，社区获「2023年福建省卫生社区」称号。[1]
