历史沿革[edit]
清代村地属长兴里一至三都的寨仔、梨山保。1943年归长兴乡潘溪、后塘保，1950年设明溪乡。[1]
1959年改为布塘公社明溪大队；1984年，它成为五显乡的明溪村委会（1991年随乡改镇），1997年划归同安区。[1]
