布塘村是五显镇下辖的行政村，位于镇南部。村名来自旧时村中的染布作坊：人们在一座大池塘里漂洗染布，因此得名布塘。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代村地属同禾里的大溪和后田洋保。1943年归长兴乡布塘保，1950年设布塘乡。[1]
1959年改为布塘公社下的布塘大队，1961年属果园公社（隶汀溪区）。1984年改为五显乡的布塘村委会，1997年划归同安区。[1]
经济[edit]
村里产稻谷、甘薯、花生、龙眼和桃李，境内还有高龄土矿。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年9月，阿里研究院在「2020年淘宝村」名单中收入了布塘村。2021年10月，布塘村又列入南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院联合发布的「2021年淘宝村」名单。2022年10月，布塘村再度入选「2022年淘宝村」。[1]
