竹坝社区是五显镇下辖的社区，以竹坝之名得名，与竹坝华侨农场关系密切。2019年，原竹坝管区改制为竹坝社区。[1]
地名由来与沿革[edit]
社区名称的来历是：铁砧山脚下原本生长着竹林，人们用竹桩拦截溪流筑成水坝，因此称竹坝。[1]
1960年，华侨农场在竹坝建场。1966年，果园公社原辖的竹坝自然村划归农场，同年这里设立竹坝管区。2019年，管区改为社区。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
竹坝农场位于同安区东北部三秀山南麓，距同安城区约10千米，占地约10平方千米，场内有竹坝水库、石垅水库和白石溪。2022年4月，修缮后的归侨史迹馆在竹坝开馆。[2]
荣誉[edit]
竹坝社区获授「2022年福建省卫生社区」称号，授予方为福建省爱国卫生运动委员会，时间在2022年底。[1]
