军营村在莲花镇西北部约24公里处，靠近厦门第二高峰状元尖，村名来自明末清初的驻军营地。[1][2]

地名与地理[edit]

据百度百科，明末清初此地曾驻扎军队，郑成功曾在这里练兵，村名就此沿用。改革开放前叫军营堡，之后才改称军营村。[2]

博雅地名网称，村子的海拔在千米以上，与安溪县大坪乡接壤，属厦门海拔最高的村庄之一。[1][2]

人口与产业[edit]

博雅地名网记村中有230户、922人，辖3个自然村，设9个村民小组，年份未注。村民以农业为主，靠高山茶生产获取主要收入。2011年村集体收入10.52万元，人均纯收入8057元。[1]

百度百科载，村内茶园约6500多亩。[2]

沿革[edit]

清代此地归感化里六至八都的上陵保。民国时属莲山乡江洋保，1950年为第三区江洋乡的一部分，1952年10月改归第五区西荣乡。1958年3月西荣乡与祥溪乡并为云峰乡；1959年设莲花公社西荣大队，1961年析出军营大队，1984年改设莲花乡军营村委会。[1]
