三社村在灌口镇的东南，东边连着杏林中亚城和大学康城，西侧毗邻涌泉工业园；南侧是厦工机械集中区，北面以后溪镇为界。村名由村民分居三处聚落而来。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村中陈姓村民是从东孚镇莲花村迁来的，分居松山、洪茂、新亭三个聚落，三处呈三角形分布，故称“三社”。1960年又添设东蔡、西蔡两个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期为灌口镇三社保，1956年划入灌口区三李乡，1958年成为郊区灌口公社的三社大队。1984年10月设三社村委会，1987年划归集美区。[1]
荣誉[edit]
福建省的2018至2020年度省级文明村镇社区名单于2021年2月公布，三社村名列其中。2024年1月，三社村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
文物古迹[edit]
松山98号民居为清代建筑，属古建筑类，尚未定级。[2]
陈水成故居建于1943年，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑类，尚未定级。[2]
