金山社区是福建省厦门市湖里区金山街道下辖的社区，成立于2003年4月9日，是一个新型纯居民社区，由金山小区和周边15个小区组成。[2]

社区面积约1平方千米。据概况，常住人口为12344人，另有流动人口7539人。[2]

地名由来[edit]

据载，金山因山色赤、少草木而得名；社区位于金山的西侧，故以之为名。[1]

文化[edit]

社区获得的市级以上荣誉称号共98项，包括「全国文明社区」「全国和谐社区」「全国先进文化社区」「全国学习型家庭示范社区」等。社区还被中纪委确定为廉政文化联系点。[2]
