东瑶村位于东孚街道东部，东临马銮湾西面海滩，西接莲花社区，2015年撤镇改街道后仍为村民委员会。[1][2]
村域面积约5.8平方千米，宋元时期这里以烧瓷为业，旧称「窑山」，有东窑、西窑两处，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国初属积善里林埭、水头两保，抗战期间归鼎山乡水头保，鼎山乡随后并入角尾乡。建国初属水头乡，1956年改属鼎美乡。[1]
1958年10月设东孚公社东瑶大队。1959年10月划入厦门第一农场；1962年划回东孚公社。1984年改为东孚乡东瑶村委会。2015年撤镇改街道，改称东孚街道东瑶村民委员会。[1][2]
历史古迹[edit]
晚唐至宋代，这一带窑业兴盛。村中有一座古桥，称为罗隐桥，据称已有千年历史。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，东瑶村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
