内厝社区是鼓浪屿街道下辖的社区，位于岛的西北面，名称来自旧时的内厝澳。社区辖区内有工艺美术学院、厦门博物馆和郑成功纪念馆等单位，共有41家企事业单位。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据说元末明初，嵩屿一带的李姓家族迁居此地，当地初称李厝澳。后因李与里同音，里与内字义相近，逐渐演化为内厝澳。[1]

社会事业[edit]

辖区里教育单位较多，计有中小学及幼儿园6所，研究机构3个，教育基地2个，教堂1所，并设有社区活动中心和多功能音像图书室；另驻有2个部队，登记个体户77户。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

抗战胜利后的1945年底，这里归鼓浪屿区管辖。1951年改设内厝街政委员会，1955年改为街道办事处，下辖六个居委会。1956年，其中两个居委会合并为内厝居委会。[3]

1958年成立鼓浪屿人民公社，居委会改为分社；1964年分社恢复为居委会，同年一个居委会撤销，其区域并入邻近居委会。1966年更名为红卫居委会，1979年复名。[3]

1984年，街道办事处被撤销，各居委会改由区里直接领导。2001年8月改制为社区居委会，2003年由三个社区整合为内厝社区。[3]

社区荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区获命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]

社区早年获评区级社区建设示范社区、市级红十字服务优秀示范区、省级科普示范社区，并获评「全国百佳学习型社区」；2007年4月获「厦门市社区建设优秀创意奖」。[2]
