龙山社区隶属福建省厦门市思明区嘉莲街道，位于龙山工业区内，南靠龙山山体，西侧临铁路，东至龙山中路，北至龙山路与谊爱路。辖区面积0.6平方千米，与莲花五村社区相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

此片区域在龙山山体边上，社区因此得名。[1]

人口民族[edit]

社区总人口8700人，其中常住人口3454人，外来人口5246人，是外来人口密集的社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清末此地为嘉禾里二十三都的吕石保。1950年划归江头乡，1958年底前改属前线公社。1985年12月起归梧村街道吕厝居委会，1987年7月转莲前街道。[1]

1998年，社区开始筹备，当时归莲前街道管辖；2000年嘉莲街道设立后改由其管辖。2006年4月，社区正式成立，据博雅地名网，它在全省率先推行议行分设。[1]

文化[edit]

社区获得的荣誉有「思明区文明安全社区」「市级综治工作先进单位」和「市级巾帼文明岗」。2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1][2]
