北盛村在东瀚镇西北部，下辖北盛、赤岭和北楼下三个自然村，全村共12个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村子坐落在高山港东侧的海岸旁，海潮可达村边，海滩上水洼成片；因位于南浔村以北，得名北盛。[1]
自然与经济[edit]
村地属沿海干旱气候，农作物以耐旱的甘薯和花生为主。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代村地属崇德乡平南里六十都，明代归南上隅平南里六十都，清末起隶属高山镇。民国时期村地划入六十乡的高山镇保，1945年并入东瀚乡。[1]
1950年划入第四区赤岭乡，1952年改由第十四区北盛乡管辖。1958年，北盛大队组建，隶属高山公社。1961年并入东瀚公社，1964年以东瀚北盛之名另设行政村；1984年由大队改制为村委会，1992年乡改为镇。[1]
