北湾村在港头镇境内，旧称碧湾境，村名由此而来。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子旧属崇德化北里上都，有碧湾境，明代属东隅化北里上都，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1910年村子划入龙田镇。1943年编为四甲。1950年属第七区，1958年隶属龙田公社，1959年成立大队，1961年改归港头公社。1984年村委会设立，隶港头乡，1985年北湾村委会正式成立，由十一个村民小组组成。1992年乡改镇，村随之改为镇辖。[1]
