湖山村位于港头镇境内，原名北山，因与他处同名，又因村西有一湖，改称湖山。村委会设在同名的自然村内。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子原名北山。因重名，且村西面有一湖，遂改名湖山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早在宋代，此地便是崇德乡化北里上都的前塘境。明代改入东隅化北里上都。1910年划归龙田镇，1943年转隶化北乡。1950年为第三区所辖。1958年并入龙田公社，1961年改属港头公社。1984年村民委员会建立，隶港头乡，1992年乡改镇时一并成为镇辖村。[1]
