北大社区属福清市玉屏街道，位于城区之内。社区名字来自它在旧城关镇东北一隅的位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

如今社区办公楼所在处，解放前是顾家祠堂的旧址。1964年这里成为红旗剧团的团址，之后改设城关镇北大公社。文革后又改称城关公社红星大队。1978年改为融城镇北大居民委员会，2003年由居委会改为社区，定名北大社区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予社区「2021年福建省卫生社区」称号。[1]
