白云村是白云乡政府的驻地，也是全乡政治、经济、文化的核心所在。村子位于永泰、闽侯、闽清三县的交界处，为丘陵谷地，海拔五百至六百米。[1][2]

村名的由来：地势高峻，早晨八点之前常见白云缭绕，于是得名白云。村中有姬岩景区，并保存着姬岩摩崖石刻与黄氏宗祠。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名旧称麟峰，因村前案山麟峰山而得名。传说黄富为选地而到姬岩求仙，神仙告诉他「白云底下是君乡」，次日清晨果然见到白云笼罩的麟峰，于是在此定居，并把麟峰改称白云本地。这件事大约发生在公元961年（宋太祖建隆二年）之后。[3]

1915年至1935年此地划归北区。清代，此地原属中和乡新丰里十九都。1950年至1951年归六区管辖。1961年，白云人民公社设白云生产大队；1984年，该大队改称白云乡白云村委会。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村域11.6平方千米。东面与岭下村相邻，西面挨着寨里村，南面与陈家村相接，北面和东溪村交界。距永泰县城27千米。[2]

村中有一座自来水厂和一座大水库，灌溉渠道3600米，通村公路均已硬化。学校有中学、小学，另有卫生院与信用社。[2]

人口[edit]

村里共530户、2057人，辖白云、梗隔、官山坪三个自然村，设20个村民小组。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地2005亩，其中水田1700亩；林地15800亩，果园300亩。种植水稻为主，另有甘薯、槟榔芋、茭白及反季节蔬菜，经济作物以李果居多。村中还有一处300亩的铁观音茶园。[2]

文化[edit]

村里历史上出过不少进士，县政府网站统计，仅白云村就有42位进士。知名的人物有黄文焕、黄任、黄国熟等。[4]

姬岩摩崖石刻位于村中，年代跨越宋至清。石刻上留有宋代陈旸，明代黄文焕、曹学佺、谢肇淛、徐渤，清代黄任、王仁堪等人的题字。[2]

黄氏宗祠在上街，宋至道年间（995年至997年）开始建为祖厝，此后数次受损，又数次修缮。宗祠内有一些文物。2007年4月，它被列为第六批县级文物保护单位。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2017年8月，白云村入选“第二批省级传统村落”名录。2019年6月，被列入第五批中国传统村落。同月，福建省人民政府认定白云村为「第六批福建省历史文化名镇名村」。[2]
