东溪村属福州市永泰县白云乡，位于乡境西北一带，海拔约580米，地形为丘陵。村中住有畲族居民，是白云乡里少数民族聚居的边缘村。[1][2]

村名原为“冬溪”，因村内一条溪而起。方言里“冬”“东”读音接近，于是后来写作东溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，此地设为白云人民公社的东溪生产大队；1984年，它改称白云乡东溪村委会。清代，此地归中和乡新丰里十九都管辖。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积约2.5平方千米，距乡政府约2.5千米。村西与寨里村为邻，南面挨着白云村，北面与闽侯县鸿尾乡的石村相连。村中有一条白云通往福州的公路。[1][2]

人口[edit]

居民396人，共96户，内有畲族128人。村下辖崩乾里、吴厝里、松洋三个自然村，设6个村民小组。[1][2]

经济[edit]

耕地481亩，有林地1310亩，竹林60亩。村民种有李果、茶叶、月柿、青梅等，合计约165亩，粮食可以自给有余。村中不少人外出务工、经商。[1]
