山田村隶属福建省福州市永泰县清凉镇，位于镇的北部，距镇所在地15公里，海拔380米。村名来自村委会驻地山田自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代时此地属中和乡新丰里十八都。1961年，清凉人民公社下设山田生产大队；1984年改设清凉乡的山田村民委员会。[1]

2024年1月，村庄获评「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域东邻渔溪村，西连高峰村，南与红星礼柄村相接，北与岭下村相连。耕地1146亩，林地15600亩，竹林3400亩，生态林3960亩，其中国家级生态林2720亩。村内有一座高山名叫万雁岩，山林资源丰富。[2]
