相传此地土地肥沃，每年可产稻谷一万石，村因此得名万石。[2]

自然景观[edit]

村内的万石瀑布是天门山景区的一处景点。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属丰和乡保安里五都，民国时期划入东区。1961年成为葛岭人民公社的万石大队；1984年随公社改设乡，称万石村委会；1992年随乡改镇，归葛岭镇管辖。[2]
