溪口村位于永泰县嵩口镇东部，村名因位于大漳溪与桃花溪的交汇处而得。村庄离镇区约7公里，距县城46公里。[1]

村落总面积3平方千米，辖白湾、榕树下、洋中厝、上店厝4个自然村，共14个村民生产小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，溪口设为嵩口镇溪口村民委员会。1961年它是嵩口人民公社的溪口生产大队，1958年为嵩口管理区下溪口生产大队。清代属中和乡感应里二十九都。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域属亚热带季风气候；耕地合计786亩，水田占726亩；生态公益林4600多亩，另有芙蓉李等水果基地1700多亩。[1]

文化[edit]

2016年12月，溪口村列入「第四批中国传统村落」名录；2015年10月，入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2021年11月，溪口村经福建省爱卫办确定，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
