洋尾村位于福建省福州市闽清县下祝乡东南方向，距乡政府约2.5公里，全村面积2.1平方千米。[1]

村名的来历与居民的迁入有关：最初居民从古田县鹤塘地方迁来定居，此处古称鹤塘坑；后来洋头村的村民也陆续迁入，两地移民和睦相处，因民宅都建在村尾，遂称「洋尾」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

自宋至民国，此地均为洋头村下属的一个自然村，行政隶属不独立。[1]

1977年才单独设立大队，隶属下祝公社；1984年下祝乡政府成立后，洋尾成为乡属的村民委员会。[1]
