后岭村位于福建省福州市闽清县下祝乡南方向，距乡政府约3公里，全村面积2.5平方千米。[1]

村名的来历是：村子背后有一道山岭，故称「后岭」。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办公示拟命名后岭村为福建省卫生村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属奉政乡安仁里，元代是十九都之下的后岭村，明代并入二十都诸都所辖的统一图。清代为怀德乡的一个村，民国时属杉村祝岭保。[1]

新中国成立后，此地经历了多次乡级归属变更。1956年并入洋头乡，1961年划归下祝公社后岭大队，1984年成为乡属村委会。[1]
