林洞村位于塔庄镇境内，解放前中共闽中地委与闽永游击队曾在村中开展革命活动，1985年被认定为革命基点村。[2]
地名由来[edit]
相传村中有座麒麟山，山中有一洞，洞旁有石佛庙，故取名灵洞或麟洞。明清时称上四都灵洞或麟洞。建国后，因「麟」与「林」同音，改名林洞。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时此地称麟洞保，隶龙峰乡。新中国成立后曾归梅林乡，1957年成立林洞高级社，1958年7月组建林洞大队。[1][2]
1984年起改为林洞村委会，属塔庄乡；1993年后归塔庄镇政府管理。[1]
