历史沿革[edit]
村子1984年改为村委会，属碧里乡。它的大队始于1958年，由乡改设，而1950年村地曾设立牛坑乡[3]。明清时属贤一里，民国时期的管辖几经变化[3]。
地理环境[edit]
村名的来历是：取所辖的牛路墘、坑里两个自然村首字而得名[2]。
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有元帅宫、奶娘宫、大帝宫、元帅中宫和增寿塘。岩下宫始建于明代崇祯年间，2004年曾修建；每年农历正月十二，全村群众集资举行一次游神活动[1]。
经济[edit]
村民绝大多数从事渔业养殖，主要品种有闽东大黄鱼、鲍鱼、海带和紫菜；滩涂上产章鱼、蛤和香螺。村里也养山羊，俗称“下廪羊”[1][2]。
文化[edit]
2021年11月，村子获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[4]。
